Optional Steps
Scholarship application
We offer a range of scholarships for international students looking to undertake undergraduate or postgraduate study. Please refer to our International scholarships page for more details.
Recognition of Prior Learning
We offer Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) which lets you receive credit for all the skills, knowledge and experience you have gained through previous learning and work.
Prior learning we recognise can include:
- Formal learning that occurs through a structured program that leads to the full or partial achievement on an accredited qualification.
- Informal learning gained through work and internship experiences.
- Non-formal learning that takes place through a structured program that does not lead to an officially accredited qualification.
Credit transfer
You can apply for recognition of previous study completed at another institution or another course at Torrens University. This recognition allows for the transfer of credits towards your current Torrens University course.
Certifying documents
At certain stages of the application process, for approval as a higher education provider, you will be asked to produce ‘certified documents’. These are copies of important documents which need to be certified as true copies of the originals, by a person authorised to do so. Within Australia, a Torrens University Australia or THINK staff member can certify documents on campus.
To certify your document:
1. Make a copy of the original document
2. Take the original document and your copy to an Authorised Officer who can certify documents.
Learn more on the Department of Home Affairs website as to which people are authorised to certify documents.
