Submitting Your Nitrogen Report to Council in MyBallance
Once your farm map and land use data are set up in MyBallance, you're ready to complete and submit your nitrogen report to your regional council. This guide walks you through the submission process, step by step.
✅ Prerequisites
Before you begin:

Your farm map must be loaded into MyBallance.

Your land use and crop data should be entered and saved.

At least 90% of your nitrogen deliveries should have proof of application recorded.
📊 Step 1: Check Submission Readiness

Log into MyBallance.

On the homepage, look for the Nitrogen Proof of Application status banner.

The dial indicator will show what percentage of your nitrogen deliveries have recorded application data.
🚦 What the Dial Means

Less than 90% complete
➤ You’ll need to add proof of application data for any missing deliveries.To do this:

Click “Proof of Application”.

Follow the prompts to record your applications.

90% or more complete
➤ You’re ready to submit your nitrogen report.
📬 Step 2: Submit Your Report

Click “Manage Submission”.
-
Select your property and the reporting year.
-
Complete the required fields:

Farm Business Number
-
Dairy Company (auto-filled)

Dairy Supply Number (auto-filled)

Confirm:
-
✔️ You consent to the submission.

✔️ You’ve read the terms and conditions.

Click Submit to send your report to council.

If you prefer to submit manually, you can generate a PDF of your nitrogen report:

Go to “Nitrogen Limit Management Report” in MyBallance.

Select your property and reporting year.
-
Click “Generate Report”.
-
A PDF file will automatically download to your device.
